Michalis is an Energy Strategy Analyst with the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece. He is also Academic Director of the Greek Energy Forum and Research Director of the Hellenic Energy Regulation Institute.
His research focuses on mechanisms and dynamics that link changes in Energy Flow levels with changes in National Security levels. He is a member of the academic team that produces reports for The Hellenic National Defense General Staff Chair in Strategic Studies - "Thucydides" and is responsible for the analysis of the energy sector in MENA and Eastern Mediterranean.
Michalis holds a Masters in Strategic Studies & International Policy as well as a BA in Political Science and a BA in Economics from the University of Macedonia. He has substantial working experience in the financial sector as a stock broker and financial analyst, as well as the private education sector in Greece, teaching Finance and Risk Analysis in Executive MBA programs.
