Mr. Daan Elffers has extensive experience working directly with businesses, governments and non-profit organizations.
Named one of the ‘100 Most Talented Leaders in CSR’ by the World CSR Day organisation, Elffers holds a Master’s degree from the Rotterdam School of Management and is on the CSR Expert Panel for the Department of Business Economics at Erasmus University in the Netherlands. A certified Cradle to Cradle consultant since 2008, he was an advisor with the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute in California, and a Guest Member of the Circular Economy Taskforce of the World Economic Forum.
Elffers is on the Strategic Advisory Council of the UK-based Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, the world’s largest membership organization for sustainability professionals with members in more than 100 countries.
In 2017, Elffers was made a Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) 'in recognition of his leadership and advocacy for corporate responsibility and his contributions to the IEMA'. Fellow membership is the highest level of IEMA membership, 'for those people who are making an exceptional contribution to sustainability - either through corporate sustainability leadership or through a broader contribution to society and the profession.'
